Dr. Richard Carlile grew up in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in 2007 and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth School of Dentistry in 2011.
Dr. Carlile completed a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii from 2012-2014 where he received advanced training in oral surgery, implants, root canals and prosthodontics (dentures, bridges, crowns).
As part of his training, he received a Master’s in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. After serving in the United States Army for 6 years, he was in private practice in Port Angeles, Washington for five years.
During this time he had the opportunity to be trained in moderate IV sedation and also received his Invisalign certification. While living in Washington, Dr. Carlile and his wife, Rose (maiden name Fife), felt a need to return to Utah to be closer to family.
