Tanner Allen, DO

Dr. Tanner Allen is a general surgeon who specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries, hernia repairs, and gastrointestinal surgeries.

Dr. Allen is a native to Sanpete County, graduating from North Sanpete High School with both his High School Diploma and his Associates of Science Degree at the same time. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Utah State University.

He attended Medical School at A.T. Still University- Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, and then completed a 5-year residency in general surgery in the suburbs of Detroit Michigan (Both Dearborn Hospital and Trenton Hospital). During his residency, Dr. Allen showcased exceptional surgical skills and his compassionate approach to patient care. He recognizes the importance personal interactions play in helping propel the healing process.

Dr. Allen has been working in the medical field since he was 18 years old. Throughout his career in medicine, Dr. Allen has been committed to providing the highest standard of care to his patients. He believes in a patient-centered approach, taking the time to understand each individual's unique needs and concerns. His dedication to patient education ensures that his patients are well-informed and actively involved in their treatment plans.

In his spare time, Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with family and enjoying nature.
